We visited Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, last month. At that time, I was planning my theme for the challenge, and I immediately thought V was for Virginia.

I then went through my pictures and was surprised to see we had made a number of other visits to Virginia without my realizing it.
We had taken our parents to the Luray Caverns, near Shenandoah National Park. I do not remember much about the trip, which happened more than twelve years ago. But I do remember a maze outside the caverns. We wanted to go inside, but we were unable to since it was closing time.

For our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, we had dinner at a South Indian restaurant, a very famous chain in India called Adayar Ananda Bhavan, or A2B, in Herndon, Virginia.

When we traveled to Myrtle Beach, we stayed in Virginia.

We also needed to cross Virginia to enter Tennessee.

Just now I realized we spent our 25th anniversary in Virginia, state motto being Virginia is for Lovers π!
As I look at the Virginia state map, we have traveled to a lot of interior places but have never been to its beaches. Virginia Beach and Ocean Beach, Maryland, along with the New Jersey shoreline, are now added to my bucket list.
For April A to Z challenge

V is for Virginia.
