My phone photo gallery is full of tomatoes. It seems tomatoes have become a staple in cooking and it has become one of human being’s necessities to survive. I never use the canned version and always a fresh one. One thing the critters in my garden have not touched is the tomato plant (touchwood, I said it). We harvest a lot of tomatoes every summer. In fact, I do not need to can it or freeze or store it. I cook it and I come up with so many recipes every day. Salads, soups, toppings, base for vegetables and even made as our all favorite tomato rice.

By the way, is tomato a fruit or a vegetable? As I google they come under berry variety and is considered a fruit.
