I am not a shopaholic. In fact, I buy dresses only when I want and I am also very picky about what I wear. My skin is averse to polyster and I prefer most of my clothing to be cotton or atleast a good blend with cotton.
I was in sixth grade when I got my first heels and I developed a knee pain. It took us a while to know the culprit and then I found it was my heels. I gave up completely wearing it, one exception being my marriage reception 😊!
Then I had a ligament surgery and I pretty much gave up wearing slippers or sandals. I was recommended good walking sneekers and I just wore them. We had a Rebook outlet near my house and I just wore only Reebok brand!
After our move from Boston I stumbled upon Nike, Sketchers and Adidas. Shoe shopping was never for looks for me but a comfort. My special one was hyper those days and my shoes made sure I had a good grip so I can catch him without falling again or tearing up another ligament!
So, I really take my time in picking up my shoes and yesterday was not an exception. I strolled around the shop amd found a great pair. It fit perfect. Then I saw the message. Buy one and get the second pair 50 percent off. No one in my family needed a second pair of shoes, so I decided I should get another pair! As I searched nothing pleased me. The ones that did please me was so expensive. The sale did not matter. If I get a cheaper pair, I may not use them and decided that I was going to give up the thought of buying a second pair. I came to the counter paid for one pair, got a 10 percent discount for giving my email id and exited the store.
Did I make a smart move? I do not know. But in my mind, I felt happy that I did not fall prey to a shopping 🛍️ sale. Anyway as I said I am not a shopaholic and stores need to do more to attract people like me😃!
