A little about Advaita Vedanta

What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

Hindusim has various school of thoughts and our family follows the Adavaita School by Guru Adi Shankara.

It is such a vast ocean and a very vague concept that I am not in anyway eligible to write about it. But the past ten days have made me want to ponder over the topic and I felt I am moving forward and not being stuck in one place. I would say like I have taken my leg out of the sand shaken it and put a step in front of me.

I am just sharing screenshots from the book I have been learning and I am going to stop here. I hope this creates interest in knowing about Advaita Vedanta for my readers.

Here is the verse that explains “What is the self?”

Then another verse which explains a bit more!

  1. I think this is beautifully and clearly stated. I also believe the same thing. Clay also makes color.

  2. I am very happy to see and read this post on Advaita Vedanta. In the philosophical traditions of Vedanta, the concept of the self, or “Atman,” is elucidated with profound depth in texts like Tattwabodha. Tattwabodha, which translates to “knowledge of the truth,” serves as a guide to understanding the fundamental principles of Vedanta and the nature of the self.
