What is your favorite hobby or pastime?

Watching TV has always been my pass time. I binge watch on shows and it has relaxed my mind even on tough days. We have so many options these days but somehow I am lucky that I choose the shows I love. Okay, I get addicted to the shows I pick.

A hobby or a pass time activity should relax you. My Navarathri Golu is one that I love doing. I call it my passion. I love to look for dolls when I travel and I remember every piece I get. My neighbor got me dolls one time for Christmas and even last week a friend gave a gift that I could put it up in my Golu.

During the pandemic I started joining the worldwide Golu competition. Wow, people have wonderful exhibits and I love every kind of creativity. Then last year, I attended a workshop on the same. The judge explained in detail how the exhibita are judged and how the awards are given out. I did love some of her points but it hit me I do not want to do something to satisfy a judge but to satisfy myself.

Anyhow I will be competing in those again. It is fun and I would love to win a prize or a special mention. But the display will happen the way I want to and not according to that person who did the workshop 😊. Maybe there is a different judge this year and she may have a completely different opinion and you can’t satisfy all!

Today, I received 40 coasters from the facilitator at my son’s program. All of September (Fridays) the social group worked on making these coasters which needed fire and sun! I am happy they came out so well and forty of myguests will be receiving the same along with Haldi and Kumkum. Thank you so much Linda!

Okay, how much support do I get from my husband for my hobby? He is more neutral. I need a lot of physical and monetary help for me to put on this display. He makes zero comments and does what I ask him to do. A big thank you to him too!

Ha Ha, I ended up giving vote of thanks even before the event. Anyhow just wanted to share my happiness.
