WordPress is running out of ideas for prompts, since they had a similar one asking if we are a leader or a follower. I did answer that I was a team player.

Okay, today morning I realized I had become a leader finally. I have been making my boy cook everyday. Let me tell you this was a huge project. It really took a lot of effort. But I needed help and to get my husband on board was hard. My boy did not listen to his Dad, which did not motivate my husband. Over the past few days, they both have started doing chores together and I saw my husband using my boy to put away the trash. I smiled to myself. My husband kept saying if he can do so many tasks, why not my task of putting away the trash and recycle cans.

Then today morning I was having my coffee and I heard some voices and I was so surprised without my prompt my husband had made my special one not only peel carrots and potatoes but chop cabbage. I had to recreate the scenario since I had not taken pictures.

Okay, it was a “Self Pat on my Back” moment. I have not only trained my boy but my husband too. I have created a subordinate for myself. So yes, I finally became a leader. I have not stopped smiling since then.

I think being a leader happens slowly and consistently. So if you plan on becoming one, exhibit patience. People will start serving you. But, if it is for a right cause, I think God will bless you too.
