Apprenticeship

Today was cooking day for my boy. Do you know cooking involves so many activities and sub activities that need fine and gross motor skills. Then, there are other activities around the house that needs to be attended to while cooking happens in the kitchen. So it was a busy day.

Yesterday there was a discussion regarding internship. I wanted to know the difference between internship and apprenticeship. The former is unpaid and the latter is a paid one. There is a mentor training a new recruit for a job in the company for apprenticeship and a job is not guaranteed in an internship.

So all day today, I started taking pictures of the work my boy was doing for me. I concluded that he is my apprentice. Now I have to decide the pay for him. Of course under the table, since I do not want him to file taxes.

Yes, I will be coming up with a system that helps him come out of this apprenticeship program and become my employee. Of course the wnd goal is for him to get employed in the food industry on his own. So making him my apprentice formally would pave the way for that path.

I made a facebook reel of all the activities he did today. Take a minute to check it out and support his apprenticeship.
