How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?

The WordPress prompt is good today. I thought I should combine this with my weekend coffee share with Natalie.
All of May, I have been trying to be off my phone. In fact, my phone has been acting up since April. It gets heated up or loses its charge quickly. I have been handling it like a landline. I am also using my laptop more than my phone, and I have started seeing some benefits.
So for my mid-year resolution, I am reducing my screen time on my iPhone. The first point is not to purchase a new phone. Yes, I do not need a new phone. My husband keeps telling me I am eligible for a new phone with our plan. I am not falling for the trick.
We also disconnected our cable in February. I just added Britbox to my subscription, and I think I am watching less TV. I am also watching with interest. Instead of something on, I am watching new shows. I love murder mysteries, and Britbox has it all.
I talk to my parents every day. I need my phone; I use WhatsApp for that, and I think I do not need to be on it more than twice or three times a day. If I get any important messages, I get them texted, like how my son’s caseworker updated me about something and I could read them on my watch. I replied to her at my convenience.
I have my husband for political news and my younger son for sports news. They both get excited and shout things out at home. I do not need to be online or near a television to hear and see.
I think it is time for me to go and unwind myself. Yes, I will be blogging, posting my boy’s cooking on his social media page. (I have been blogging more from my laptop recently, and I think I need to make it a habit.) But I would not be checking on my phone every few seconds. Is it possible? I hope I can take it as a good challenge and make it happen.

We had plenty of showers, and May flowers were pretty. I hope we have a bountiful vegetable season too.
