False Shamrock
It was St Patrick’s Day Party. Me and my son had fun playing so many games. But we did not have any Irish Luck as the games progressed. No prizes were won. My boy was behaving really good and he was moving all around and I was happy that he was enjoying the party. My…

Bloganuary Day 24, Expressing myself!
Prompt for today: How do you show love? My younger one calls me The Meany Mom. Yes, I show tough love. He loves that. So on days he is being pampered by me, he knows I am not in a great mood and I am going easy. When he was little, he had a hard…

Impatiens
For Cee’s Flower of the Day, a bit of throwback memory. I purchased these impatiens on a sale along with my special one many years ago. My boy who was still in school helped me carry the plants and the soil. When he was in school I planted these impatiens and all summer long these…

A tiny bloom
The day began a bit dull and depressed. My husband told me not to throw myself a pity party. I may blame it on the weather but it may not be the only reason. I am a bit tired physically (even my husband) as my boy is a bit off. By the end of the…

The cold has arrived!
The weather dropped below freezing today morning. Again we are below our average. So it is like we are above or below average temperatures. It seems like Mother Nature wants all of us to get used to ups and downs. Is it not same with our lives. We will be walking more inside the recreation…

Tomatoes
It has been a warm week. The tomato plants have new flowers!!! By the end of next week, temperatures will be dropping and these flowers will not be able to survive. Feeling a bit sad for them. By the way tomatoes are fruits and not vegetables. I think this is one of the most cooked…

Florist Daisy (Mums)
My Spring Mums faded and I put them aside only to notice a few days back they have buds and now I have Fall flowers. I never expected them to bloom again. Truly excited since I didn’t do anything other than water them even when they weren’t blooming. So next year when I buy these…

Victory
My marigold and zinnias had to fight with the bunny in my garden for their survival. Every sprout was munched away. I feel with this full bloom, it looks as if they reached their finish line successfully. The plants were in an untenable position most of the summer but all of a sudden they finally…

Giant Ironweed
These purple beauties were found on my walk on a Trail. When ingested in large quantities these plants are toxic for the life stock. Not an issue for me since I love anything that is purple and they are a feast to my eyes. For Cee’s Flower of the Day !

Crepe Myrtle
We are on a road trip this week and I am currently in Tennesse. I thought the plant outside my hotel to be rose but it looked different as I approached it closer. The leaves look like those of roses. For Cee’s FOTD

Touch wood
Last year my garden was attacked by a bunny . He munched anything and everything that grew. Growing plants was hard. It was depressing to start my garden this spring. But I am raising an autistic boy. So I always have hope. So we started with so many precautions. But the bunny family had multiplied…

Rose of Sharon
Another hibiscus variety from my garden. After two years this plant has grown well and is blooming good. It seems this is a drought resistant plant and needs little water. Starting July 15th until November 15 the Hindu calendar is full of festivals and my altar in my prayer room gets decorated by these flowers.…
